When Kid told Mifune he might not be able to carry out his request because he never finished the training exercise, Mifune reassured him by saying that he never completed the training either before succumbing to his wounds. Using Mifune's APU, Kid reached the counterweights to Gate 3, and after being saved by Zee, he manages to fulfil Mifune's wish.
